The Fullness of His Grace

When my son began to talk, he mispronounced many words and struggled to make certain sounds.  Not out of the ordinary for a baby, and it was sweetly reminiscent of my little sister, Mary, who spoke with a slight lisp and chewed her words when she spoke in a way that mesmerized all she met.  Mary’s little lisp was cute and captivating when she was a child, and she eventually grew out of it (for the most part – I can still hear it when she is really tired).

How to Choose a Gift

My mother gave gifts based on what she wanted to do.

She might zero in on a particular grandchild for Christmas and do something really special for them – like build a doll house.

Oh, everyone got gifts, don’t misunderstand. But, my mom thought about the person she was gifting, reflected on their personality, added some of her own, threw it all in a bag, shook it up, tossed it out, and…VOILA!  Your present from my mother magically appeared. Just Do It!

If I worked all day, every day, for the rest of my life, it would never be enough.  I, in my imperfection, my sin, my absolute ‘humanness’ could never do enough.  No matter how pure my intentions, or how true my heart, I can never reach this pinnacle I thought I had to reach in order to be able to serve the Lord.  I can’t wait until I’ve finally reached this level of Nirvana, that does not exist, to serve God.  I have to serve Him now. I’m Not Done Yet

So many things have gone on in my life in the last several days.  Seems like the devil is working overtime to try and steal my joy.  But, that is life, and it’s hard to have a message if there isn’t a mess to go through, or a testimony if there aren’t some tests along the way.  “Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2-4  So…bring it on Satan!  I’m not done yet.   Continue reading “I’m Not Done Yet”

Hello World!

I am so excited to finally be starting this blog!  What a wonderful endeavor it has been, and I’m finally here.  I hope you join me as I share my creative insights on life, love, and most of all…Jesus Christ.  The good Lord has blessed me in so many ways.  I have so much to share, it’s hard for me to stay focused.  I pray you find encouragement and hope in your own walk with Jesus as you learn more about mine.  All that I do is for the glory of God.  So, buckle up, and get ready for this incredible ride.  May God Bless You!
