Peaceful Shores

My Dearest God, I beg of Thee

Don’t give me what I deserve

 

Please hide my sins from the world at large

I’m ashamed and I wish to conserve

 

Forgive these sins that are deep in my heart

Expose them for only me

 

Shed light to a dark and sinful place

So I can clearly see

 

Make me repent and understand

What hides beneath this cloak

 

Expose this evil that burdens me

Please help me shed this yoke

 

I know Your Grace is sufficient

I believe every word You say

 

I thank You for understanding

and the forgiveness that came that day

 

I want all to repent, I want all to believe

That Your love is forever and more

 

Please help me tell them which path is right

And seek Your peaceful shores
