As I age and grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord, Christmas has become more of a time for me to reflect on my blessings and really dwell on what this season is really all about. The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

When my son began to talk, he mispronounced many words and struggled to make certain sounds. Not out of the ordinary for a baby, and it was sweetly reminiscent of my little sister, Mary, who spoke with a slight lisp and chewed her words when she spoke in a way that mesmerized all she met. Mary’s little lisp was cute and captivating when she was a child, and she eventually grew out of it (for the most part – I can still hear it when she is really tired).

A Prayer for Prayer
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the many blessings You have bestowed upon me. I pray now Lord, to be blessed with an all consuming passion for prayer. To communicate with You daily. To have a deep desire to bring all things to You in prayer. To defeat the devil and bring glory to Your name.
